This week amongst all our other activities we have been learning about Fair Trade. We made the symbol our of paper cuttings, made delicious Banana Crumb Muffins for the Bake Off, played some games and went on a Monkey Hunt…and found the Monkey!!!

Pupils enjoyed a fairtrade monkey hunt today and met Charlie who gave them a fairtrade banana, kindly donated by our partners in Tesco 




This SQA group are currently learning all about life in China. This week we focused on the languages of China and learned some numbers in Manderin!
We enjoyed learning them in a variety of sensory and experiential ways.







The Community SQA group went for a walk to our local shop to look for some Fairtrade products by recognising the logo. We found some known signs on the way!









The Beech class have had a fun ‘Fairtrade’ themed week learning all about what it means to be fair. We were very successful learners as we shown a great understanding of fairness in the working world.

Fairtrade literacy! We used the letters that make up the word ‘fairtrade’ and went on aphonics hunt to match the letter to pictures of objects that start with that letter sound.

Everyone had fun getting involved and being an effective contributor when making our Fairtrade tray bake.
We enjoyed tasting all the ingredients and the final piece tasted even better, we hope the judges think so too!

The Snowdrops have been very responsible citizens exploring Fairtrade activities. We have all made effective contributions to fun drama activities, pretending to be farmers and buying bananas. At assembly this week, the Snowdrops shared all their successful learning with their friends in the primary department. Well done Snowdrops!
