The Oak boys walked to the Coffee Trader today, they were responsible citizens and very road safety aware.
The boys placed their order and Blake had the responsibility to pay for the order and select the correct coins.
Snowdrops around the World
The Snowdrops have begun exploring and learning about our new theme, Italy. Pupils have been introduced to new Makaton signs which relate to places and foods from Italy. Everyone has made effective contributions to art work which shows the colours of the Italian flag and the shape of the country.
John Muir Award
The John Muir Award group are working alongside Kilmarnock College to complete a plastic bottle greenhouse in the sensory garden. Today the pupils used their creative skills and turned the trimmed parts of the bottles into these lovely decorative apples!

Red Nose Day Activities!

The Moonbeams class had lots of fun during our Comic Relief celebrations. We enjoyed wearing red and explored lots of red themed sensory activities. We also made our own red nose themed funny faces, made cupcakes and tried to pin the nose on Mr Tumble!
FAOL Outdoor learning rain gauges

At last the weather has been dry and not slippy today and we were able to get our rain gauges out in different locations in the school grounds . We were very responsible when putting them in the sensory garden that we didn’t damage any of the plants that were there . We will keep you posted on how much rain fall we have over the next few weeks .
Red Nose Day fun
The snowdrops were effective contributors today when we joined in activities to support Comic Relief. Everyone was wearing red or something to support the event. We played red nose corners with each corner having a picture of the Disney T-shirts . We were so good at this that both Ryan and Kayla came joint first .. well done . Then we had a spoon and nose race against the daisies and it was too close to call ! We then had some time to dance to our favourite songs before returning to class . Lots of fun was had by all .
Science Week
This week the Bluebell pupils have been effective contributors and successful learners during their science lessons. They have enjoyed participating in a variety of activities and observing the results of some. They made Tornados in a bottle, Lava lamps, foam art and even carried out a science experiment during cookery where they made ice cream in a bag. It has been a very successful week!
FAOL: Enterprise – Red Nose Day
The pupils in the Bluebells were effective contributors today as they all took part in a variety of activities for Red Nose Day. The children wore something red and donated money. They also took part in a variety of group and sensory activities. The pupils contributed by making Information posters about Red Nose Day which they took home to share with their families.
Red Nose Day Round 2
We all came together this afternoon to have a fun Red Nose Party! Every class was an effective contributor and each took the lead on a game.
We had a red nose relay race, large red ball dodge ball, clear the court with a red nose twist, parachute team work game and biscuit decorating.
A great time was had by all and we enjoy all coming together for special events. We all take part in our own way.
Sean was the well deserved Dodge ball Champion!
