A digital hello from the Pine Room

This week for Science and ECO we were responsible citizens and made hanging bird feeders for our feathered friends, we mixed the special bird seed and lard together, then pressed it into cups to mould them. We are just waiting for a nice day to get outside and hang them up.

Join us for a game of dominoes?

We love dominoes in the Pine Room – a great way to do numeracy.

Literacy and Art we have been working on the letter ‘T’ and made some stripey Tiger pictures, below are a couple of links to some ‘T’ activities.

The Letter T Song

The Tiger that came to Tea.

This week is Digital Learning Week.

Highlights were – we took some videos of us carrying out different activities and then watched them back on the big screen, we attended a virtual Pupil Council Meeting and had a wee online ‘sing-song’ before it started

Enjoying some sensory water play, working on our motor skills while doing our hand exercises.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

50 Things – Flying a kite

The Asteroids enjoyed making and flying their own paper bag kites.

We were confident choosing how we were going to decorate our paper bags and then we followed verbal and visual instructions to turn the paper bags in to kites.

We took the finished kites to the playground and garden to test them out. We agreed it could have done with being a bit more windy!

Most of us were able to, independently, lift our kites in the air and fly them.

Fly high!

50 THINGS – WINDSWEPT

*Successful Learners*

As part of our ‘50 Things – Windswept’ activity, we’ve definitely experienced the feeling of wind on our bodies and face throughout the seasons. This week we watched how the wind effected different objects as it made the dandelions blow around. We also tried blowing them and creating our own wind. We made sure to make a wish!
