We all had great fun at the Secondary School Party!!
SANTA!!!!
Look at us in our Christmas Jumpers!!!
Has been a busy one!! We have had lots of rehearsals for the Christmas Show, we had cake for Miss. Burns’ Birthday – 21 again!!! Had our Class trip to the Cinema to see ‘The Incredibles 2’ then a happy meal for lunch, and loads of Christmas Crafts.
This morning we were set the challenge of creating a Christmas tree out of different shapes.
Yesterday we had a very busy day at school! A sensory assembly for St Andrew’s Day – tasting Scottish food, looking at Scottish pictures, listening to Scottish music and sounds, making thistle hand prints, and playing with porridge paly doh. Then we had cookery and made Lentil Soup… it was yummy!!! Followed by a visit from Santa’s reindeer – we said we were busy!!!
The Eco group recycled an item that would usually be thrown in the bin. The pencil shavings from sharpened pencils were gathered and then used to create a picture of a tree and a butterfly.
It was a very relaxing and fun activity to create something beautiful from rubbish that would have been thrown away. The boys were effective contributors using items to recycle and creating something new.
There will be a lot more exciting recycling projects happening over the next few weeks, with a Christmas theme.
This morning we did some preparation for St Andrew’s Day. We made some beautiful St Andrew’s Cross Flags, also known as The Saltire, we hand printed some lovely thistles. Then we used The Saltire, thistle and St Andrew to help with our Maths work – looking at the biggest to the smallest and putting them in order or selecting the biggest or the smallest shape.
Today we had fun and helped raise money for Children in Need. Cakes, crafts and then a party with lots of dancing and games.
