Yesterday we were successful learners learning about Diwali. We viewed a powerpoint with pictures and then made some Rangoli patterns with rice and also with foam shapes. We also made lovely lanterns to take home.
This has been a busy week learning about Remembrance Day.
The class enjoyed listening to the Poppy Story and observing photos and music about our soldiers in the war. We made a Poppy sun-catcher and worked on our fine motor skills to complete this. We were responsible citizens and showed our respect for our fallen soldiers during our 2 minutes silence.
We were also learning about Diwali, the festival of lights. Afterwards we took part in designing some Rangoli patterns and making a candle decoration. We were confident individuals during these tasks.
