Parent Council Road Safety Survey

Our Clean Green ‘Transport’ Team are working together with our Parent Council to gather the views of our families about local road safety concerns.
Your child will come home with the survey in their school bag today. We would be very grateful if you could complete and return this. All completed surveys returned by Wednesday 5th June will be put into a draw to win a £30 Scotmid voucher.
Your participation will play a vital role in our effort to make our local community safer for everyone.

Earth Hour 2024
Today, our Accreditation Rich Tasks groups participated in Windy’s Earth Hour by getting outside and enjoying lots of screen free fun together!
We felt it was important that everyone got involved, in order to spread the Earth Hour message, not just our Clean Green Team. It was great to see so many children having fun outside with not a piece of technology to be found!
(Apart from Mrs McNulty’s phone making an appearance to capture the proof! Ha!)
The official Earth Hour is tomorrow, Saturday 23rd March at 8.30pm.
We ask that for 1 hour tomorrow evening, our families take time to switch off and dedicate an hour to help bring our world back to life. You can do this in any way you like, by spending 60 minutes doing something positive for our planet. Need inspiration? Click on the link below to view some ideas.

If you choose to take part, please evidence what you choose to do and upload it as a Parental Contribution to your child’s Learning Journal. We will showcase these entries at Monday’s Get Together and award house points to all our participants.

Tartan Trek Success!
A huge thank you to everyone who made our Tartan Trek last week such a success! To everyone who sponsored our children, to the New Cumnock Development Trust for the yummy snacks and drinks provided to us on our return, to our Parent Helpers and Staff for accompanying our children on our walk and to our wonderful children for being such good sports and coming along and singing all the way round the Lagoons and back to school, despite the poor weather that day. A personal favourite was the rendition of ‘Happy Birthday Dear Rabbie!!!’ from Primary 1 as we walked past the Robert Burns Statue.
We are delighted to announce that our Sponsored Walk raised a staggering total of £3871.30!!!
WELL DONE EVERYONE AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!

Tartan Trek 25/1/24
A wee reminder that we will be going out on our sponsored Tartan Trek tomorrow (Thursday).
All sponsor money will be collected in the morning by class teachers, alternatively, if you would prefer, you can hand in your child’s sponsor money at the main office, if you would rather drop it off yourself, but this must be done in the morning to allow us to get it counted and banked.
Don’t forget to wear your tartan tomorrow but to also dress appropriately for the outdoors as we intend to head out, even if it is raining. (That way we will have really earned our sponsor money!)
When we arrive back at school, each child will be given a drink and a snack which has been kindly donated from the New Cumnock Development Trust. Thank you again to Tammy and the team for this kind gesture!
We will be heading out at 1.30pm so if you are out in your car or we walk past your window, give us a wave or a toot!
