Primary 1 have been learning about Diurnal & Nocturnal animals and Light & Dark through the ‘Owl Babies’ story. We had very special visitors in our class today and had the opportunity to hold the owls and ask questions about how they are looked after.
SLC2 had lots of fun on No Pens Wednesday! In the morning for maths the class was learning about 3D shapes. They used the iPad to drive the BB-8 robot to the different 3D shapes. BB-8 could even nod and beep to let them know that they got the correct shape!
SLC2 have been learning all about the colours in their Spanish lessons. Today they were using Linguascope to practice matching the colours from Spanish to English, and using the playdough to practice how to spell the Spanish colours.

Primary 5 have been learning how to code using JavaScript blocks. We used a Star Wars theme to engage us with our learning. Everyone loved controlling and coding BB-8 using the iPads. We also used the ActivPanel and interactive whiteboard to work as a team to build our algorithms.
On Friday 2nd June, Finlay in P2 attended the Barony Hall in Glasgow to receive his award for his success in the Leaders Award. This was a very special event and a wonderful opportunity for Finlay to celebrate his amazing success. Furthermore, Ruairi in P3 and Yasmin in P7 were judged to be ‘distinction’ and their work was displayed in the Barony Hall the following weekend.
Building upon their success at the local competition, today Isla K and Danielle in P3 and Tyler and Kasey in P6 took part in the West of Scotland Primary Engineer Regional Final Competition. We are delighted to announce that Isla K and Danielle were judged WINNERS at Apprentice Level 2 and Tyler and Kasey won for BEST THEMED. Well done everyone, we are so proud!
