Building upon their success at the local competition, today Isla K and Danielle in P3 and Tyler and Kasey in P6 took part in the West of Scotland Primary Engineer Regional Final Competition. We are delighted to announce that Isla K and Danielle were judged WINNERS at Apprentice Level 2 and Tyler and Kasey won for BEST THEMED. Well done everyone, we are so proud! After working hard in a digital school competition P6 had their success rewarded by not only being crowned winners but also getting to test some of our new technologies! P6 had a great afternoon trying out our new Ipads and Osmos, K’Nex and Lego!!
For part of this term Primary 6 have been taking part in an enterprise challenge called Micro-Tyco.
Micro-Tyco is a month long challenge that enables participants to practice and learn fundamental business principles in a safe, ‘micro’ environment. Small groups formed within our P6 class have to turn £1 seed capital (which they previously fundraised themselves) into as much money as possible. Micro-Tyco unleashes participants’ latent talents, fostering essential entrepreneurial thinking, resourcefulness and team work.
The final preparation for our Micro-Tyco event is now underway!
All sorts of activities will be happening including; hair styling stalls, face painting, home baking stalls, sweetie raffle, nail bars, mocktails bars and mindful colouring stalls.
We have now successfully managed to wire our vehicles – aren’t they looking great!
We have been trying to document our learning in lots of different ways – we like our learning selfies the best! We have got even more displayed in the ICT room!
