Today SLC1 had lots of fun at Tough Mudder. Thanks again for all the parents support and for sponsorship money. We all got very muddy and had a great time.
All classes have recently taken part in the Massage in School Programme. Our young people have told us that it helps to keep them relaxed and also aids them to refocus their minds and get ready for new learning to take place. We invited parents and carers to join us in a massage session.
Looks at those happy and relaxed faces!
On Friday afternoons, Mrs Clapperton has been teaching us Heart Start – this is basic first aid including CPR. We have been listening for information and then practising using dummies, bandages and the choking vest. We now feel more confident and better equipped to help to deal with an accident or an emergency.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our 6 week block of massage in school. We have learned 15 moves that we have practised on each other in school and some of us even practised at home! Today we celebrated our learning by inviting our families to join us in school. Thank you to those of you who were able to join us – we hope you left feeling relaxed and chilled!
