We had a wonderful day at Dumfries House on Friday. As part of our IDL, we visited the farm and the farm animals. We got to touch and feed some farm animals including chickens, ducks and pigs. We also learned about the journey of milk from source to consumer. A highlight was definitely getting to use ingredients to prepare and bake our own cheese and chive scones. We even made our own butter!

P3/4 – Soup Making
Primary 3/4 are learning about food and farming. We have been learning about where food comes from and today, Mrs Houston came into school and helped us to make vegetable soup. We got to peel, chop, slice and cut different vegetables and then we learned how to make them into a soup. We have even came home with a little pot to sample! Thank you to Mrs Houston and to Lynn in the kitchen for helping us.
Primary 3 – Tough Mudder
Primary 3 – Massage In Schools
We have thoroughly enjoyed our 6 week block of massage in school. We have learned 15 moves that we have practised on each other in school and some of us even practised at home! Today we celebrated our learning by inviting our families to join us in school. Thank you to those of you who were able to join us – we hope you left feeling relaxed and chilled!
The McDougalls Go Global
On Friday 24th May all pupils from across the Supported Learning Centre went to Cumnock Town Hall. We watched The McDougalls as they toured the world visiting a number of countries, including Spain and China. We learned lots of new words and helped Auntie Aggie to sing heads, shoulders, knees and toes in Spanish! It was a great afternoon enjoyed by all in SLC2.
