Primary 3 had a fantastic time participating in Tough Mudder 4. We got wet, we got stinky and we got muddy but…. it was worth it! Here are some action shots of us during it.
As part of our minibeast topic, Primary 3 enjoyed a visit to Dumfries House today to pond-dip and search for different minibeasts whose habitat is in the water. Have a look at the photographs below for a snapshot of our day.
Today Primary 3 enjoyed a visit to Emergency One. This was an opportunity for us to extend our STEM knowledge and learn about how vehicles are really made. We got to see the production line for ourselves, including the shell and the chassis of the fire engines. Elliot, our guide, showed us all around the factory and we were even able to sit in a fire engine. We are now going to take this learning forward as we continue to construct our own model vehicles.
As part of our STEM learning, Primary 3 enjoyed a visit from a local engineer called Mr Burns. Mr Burns came to class to help support the pupils to construct the chassis of their shoebox models. This involved lots of estimating, measuring, using tools and perseverance. Thank you to Mr Burns for coming to help us to learn.
