The Generation Guru’s aim is to promote intergenerational learning. On Friday 24th November, the Generation Gurus went to Bute House to get to know some of the residents living there. They asked they questions about each other and enjoyed having a little chat. We will be returning this coming Friday!

SLC 3 visit Dumfries House
SLC 3 have been learning about electricity in class. As part of this topic, they visited the STEM building at Dumfries House. They explored electrical circuits and were able to work together to create different types of circuits. Later in the day, the pupils worked in teams to create a vacuum cleaner that could suck up confetti left over from a party. The class were also lucky enough to get lots of time to explore the outdoors in the STEM water park.
Watch the video below to see us being a human electrical circuit!

SLC2 Visits Dumfries House
SLC2 have been investigating the seasonal changes through Autumn into Winter. On Tuesday 21st November, they visited Dumfries House to explore the seasonal garden. They explored fresh vegetables using sight, touch and smell. They then went out into the garden to spot these vegetables growing and helped dig up a carrot! SLC2 then planted their own beans to take home and watch grow. They will need to remember to water them! . In order to help the birds during the winter months SLC2 made their own bird feeders with bagels and seeds. They took these home to hang in their gardens.
