Blog to share learning of small, Scottish rural school
Our runners were in action last night at the Everholm in Annan. Well done to the girls team Ami, Emily and Brooke who came first in the P7 Small Schools Category. Also well done to the lads, Rio, Reuben and Conner who ran in the P6 category. As ever, all pupils were a credit to Brydekirk Primary.
P2-4 learned the layers of the ocean. For example the darkest layer is called the trench. They also painted all the different layers for art. They enjoyed it very much and they are still doing it now!

In the little class we have been learning with Maths Makes Sense. We use cups and decimetre sticks working with partners.

The whole school has been learning about childrens’ rights. The convention applies to everyone: whatever their race, religion or abilities are.

On the 27th of September the P5-7 class were learning about circumferences. It was hard but lots of fun. We enjoyed it and you should try it out as there’s many steps, so if you’re bored you should do it!

P2-4 sat in a circle and said things to build each other up. For example you are very kind and that would build someone up. They also drew pictures of themselves.

This week P2-4 painted an ocean. It was really fun. We also found out facts about octopus with Miss Irvine and Miss Primrose.

On the 13th of September the P5-7 class made Magic 8 Balls with the help of Microbit computers. We used it to code and say different things so we couldn’t of done it without the Microbits.
