This week and last week the primary 2-4 have been really thinking about what makes a good reader. We made a display in the library corner to remind ourselves what we should do each time we read a book. The pupils designed, created and even stuck the display up themselves. Miss I was the photographer who took (mostly) candid pictures of the children reading. Have a look at their great work.

Trip to Glasgow
Here’s some pictures from the P5-7 trip to Glasgow:
Tree Planting
At the start of December we went tree planting near Lockerbie next to the Water of Milk. This was the last stage of a project we’re next going to write about:
Sportshall Athletics at Moffat
Here are some pics from the pupils that made it to Sportshall Athletics at Moffat on Friday. P4-7 have been working hard on their fitness and technique in the different track and field events in PE for most of the term and performed really well. Well done to all who made the trip and a special mention to Finbarr who arrived early on Friday with his gear incase we needed him. As some pupils who had been absent returned on the day Finbarr couldn’t make the trip (the bus was limited) but he’ll get to come next time. Also, thanks to our volunteer Mr Fitzgerald who helped to run an efficient team.
Dens at Playtime
We use the Poddely to play with and make dens.

Tag Rugby
P6/7 went to a rugby tournament. At the start we were against all the small schools and it was fun! After that we went against some other schools. Then we went against another team and we had to get five tries and we came third place.
