Scotland Call Up

Some good news to announce that Sandy has been selected to represent Scotland in the Optimist Class at the 27th Annual Eric Twiname Sailing Regatta. Unfortunately Sandy is unable to make the event but nonetheless this is a brilliant personal achievement, well done.

Weekly School Targets

This weeks School Target was to keep the playground tidy. The winners were James F, James C and Adam. Well done!

Star Pupils

Well done to Katelin and Hannah who are this weeks Star Pupils.

P7 Curling Tournament

P7 pupils Fergus and Cassidy were at Lockerbie Icerink all day yesterday for the annual curling tournament with other local schools. They both had a fantasic day and came 4th overall. Well done!

The Legend of Slim McBride

Our P4-7 class are currently learning songs for a joint school opera “The Legend of Slim McBride …”.

As part of the learning, Duncan in P6 has created a Glow Group with all of the songs, backing tracks and lyrics uploaded and available to read and listen to. This allows our children to practise the songs with the music anywhere they can log into Glow, ie school, home or otherwise during holiday.

We have emailed other schools in the cluster to see if their classes would like access to this resource. If you would like access to the group please comment below and we’ll see what we can do.

I have checked with Scottish Opera that it is OK to share these resources on Glow with Schools who are tasking part and they were happy for us to do so.

Duncan has also made a ‘how to’ video to help, please see below. Well done Duncan, you have used and extended your skills and helped peers from other schools in the process.

Gymnastics

Congratulations to our Gymnastics Teams. Thank you for giving up your Saturday to represent our school and thanks to Mrs Foster.

Well Done Sarah!

Well done to Sarah who got fourth place for running in the river race and second place for cycling in Annan Cycle Club.

Katelins Ballet Award

Well done to Katelin who recently passes her first ballet exam. She received a certificate from the Royal Academy of Dance. Keep up the hard work Katelin.

Weekly School Targets

Each week the primary 1 – 7 children will be working towards different targets. At the end of the week the pupils will nominate who they think has tried their best to reach the weekly target. The pupils with the most nominations will be the winner that week.

This weeks target was to be polite when playing games with others.
