Face Britain

Face Britain is a national project that invites all young people in the UK to submit a self-portrait. The artwork will be part of a world record attempt and hopefully the biggest online gallery of self-portraits in the world.  To find out more click here.

Mrs Starkey worked with P1-3 and P4-7 already had some work so our school has taken part and the work can be found here. The password is the name of our village, all in lower case.

Rotary Quiz

Reverand Pickles presents the third place certificate.

Last Thursday, the first of March, 4 of our P7s competed in the regional Annan Cluster Heat of the Rotary Quiz, and we did very well.

At half time Brydekirk P7s were in second place, out of 12 school teams, and only behind the leaders by one point. After the final round they were in joint second place with Cummertrees Primary, and a tie breaker ensued. Unfortunately, we were beaten on that question and therefore came a very respectable third place. Well done to the Newington Primary team that won (and good luck for the next round) and also to Cummertrees for making it a good competition for second place. Thanks are also due to the Rotary Club for organising the competition and Elmvale Primary for hosting it.

I think Teri, Hannh, Hamish and Lucy did a great job considering they were the only four available (Callum coudn’t make it!) and that we didn’t know the format of the quiz.
