ROUNDERS CLUB

At lunch break on a Wednesday there is a rounders club. It’s run by Mya, Katie, Callie and Thomas.  This is part of our leadership and citizenship activities.

This is what we tell  people that don’t know how to play it. You will have a bat or a tennis racket in your hand, Someone will be throwing the ball to you. You get three chances to hit the ball, Even if you miss it on your third try you still have to run. There is also four hoops on the ground  the first one is the base that’s where you hit the ball. The second one is in the middle left that’s where you can run to as your first base before someone, and then there is fourth base.  If you run all the way round you get a rounder.  We enjoy playing with the school at lunchtimes!

MAKING QUACAMOLE

Mya, Jacob, Katie and Teddy made chili. Mya made the Guacamole by cutting a  avocado twisting it then squeeze the side with the stone in it into the bin. Then she cut lines in the avocado and scraped it into a bowl so that it was easier to mash. So she got a fork and mashed it firmly. What you need to do next is squeeze some lime into the bowl and add some salt and coriander. Then put it in the fridge for about one hour.

My Endevour by Mya

Welcome to my Endeavor. Endeavor is a project that we do every year it helps you learn independently and  learn new skills like some people do how to cook, how to make candles, or making models of planes or people.  For My Endeavor I am  drawing portraits. I hope by doing portraits for my endeavor will help my drawing skills. in the future  I hope to be a  artist . Joshes girlfriend Rhianah is a Artist and she is helping me draw and shade. My favorite things that she taught me is how to draw the nose and its the easiest thing to draw on the face. The hardest thing to draw was the lips because getting the lips the right level is really hard.

CRIS AWARD

The CRIS award is an award when we were online and we went over the safety rules-CRIS stands for Cyber Resilience and Internet Safety. The whole class did it with us. Mrs Clark set up the board and people like Callie James and Katie and Phoenix went through to talk to the person that was on a meet they went through because Mrs Clark asked them and they said yes they  would do it. When we were at school we done the meet through the laptop.

The lady on the laptop was saying how to stay safe online and they were talking about clickbait here is how to stay safe online don’t believe anything that is too good to be true and if a advertisement pops up on your screen and it says something like get a free car just give me one hundred pound do not do it they probably don’t even have a car that they can give you they will trick you.   We got the CRIS award for our learning about internet safety.

Going Back to School by Robyn and Mya

Coming back to school was a bit confusing because it looked like a hand sanitizer shop. It was weird because we had our own pencil cases with pens, pencils and all of the supplies that we needed. We weren’t allowed to share supplies either and we aren’t allowed to go outside when any other classes are outside, we have staggered break times. But this does mean we can go on the all weather pitch whenever we want.  We also have lunch all at different times for social distancing.

The good thing about school now is that we get to do P.E with out changing which saves a lot of time, and PE is always outside.  We also get to go out in the rain with the water proofs that the school gave us and we stay dry and get to play games at the same time. We spend a lot more time outside.  We also have our own laptops to do our work on. It is different but we will soon get use to it.
