In our school we play a variety of sports like Football, Netball, Basketball, Shinty, Baseball, Gymnastics, Orienteering, Dancing, Skipping, Athletics, Swimming and Rounders.  We are all very active in all of these sports thanks to our all weather pitch, which allows us to exercise all the time.  We also take part in the Argyll and Bute fitness awards and include exercise on a weekly basis.

We sometimes hold an after school shinty club after Christmas. It is a great game a bit like hockey, and we have our own helmets and strips provided by Ian Laurie from Port Ellen.  We take part in the Islay and Jura shinty tournament each year and sometimes travel to the mainland for shinty trips.

When it gets to the primary 7s the fastest 4 boys & girls race against each other to win loads of points for their house and to win the swimming championships trophies.

The rest of the school take part as well, with points going towards the different houses, Nave, Orsay and Texa. The main events on sports day are the obstacle course, football dribble, the sprint and of course the old favourite the egg and spoon race.  We all try our best to help our house win.
