P2 20.04.20 Welcome Back!

Good Morning P2

Here’s hoping you have all had a super break and now ready to start term 4 in a very unusual way. We have all been very lucky to have had such lovely weather and you have been able to get outside safely whenever possible.

Unfortunately your learning must go on and here are today’s activities which I hope you will enjoy.

I will hopefully see you all in the near future when we get back to normal.

P2 Learning activities 20-4-20

3-4-20

Good Morning Everyone

Today we are going to look at the story The Three Little Pigs. You might have the storybook at home to read with an adult but if not you could ask an adult to watch the story on this link: https://www.youtube.com/watcv=QLR2pLUsl-Y

An activity you can try is

Retell the story of the Three Little Pigs and try to use a different voice for each pig. What sort of voice would the wolf use? You could try to make puppets to re enact the story. Paper cut outs could be taped to the handles of spoons. Or you could build your own house using lego or duplo bricks.

Our song is about the three little pigs….

Have fun and stay safe over the holidays

Let’s make some play dough. The play dough we use in nursery is so simple to make.. You can then make your own hedgehog.

Play Dough

1 cup of plain flour

1/2 cup of salt

1 cup of water

Mix the flour and salt then gradually add the water, if you have any food colouring that could be added to the play dough.

Rhyme today Touch Your Shoulders

Touch shoulders, touch your knees,

Raise your arms and drop them please,

Touch your ankles, touch your toes,

Pull your ears and touch your nose

Rainbows of Joy

Lots of peopel  are painting colourful rainbows and putting them in their windows for others to see and to share some joy. We thought this a wonderful idea.

So paint, draw, make a rainbow, place it in your window and if you go on a daily walk see how many rainbows you can spot.

Remember to use the governments social distancing recommendations during your walk.

For more details see the link below

The children all loved this story in nursery. You can then ask them to retell the story to you. In your pack was puppets to make which can be used when they are retelling the story,

A rhyme for today is

Five little Monkeys jumping in a tree,

Along came a crocodile as quiet as can be, {whisper]

Hey Mr Crocodile you can’t catch me

SNAP!

Four Little Monkeys jumping in a tree………….

Have fun
