This afternoon was our very first coding club.
We started our introduction to coding by learning how to code our beebots. We then used the kapla blocks to build a track/maze and coded our beebots to travel through it.

Our after school clubs are back up and running at Toronto!
Today we had both Multi Sports and Bikeability clubs. Our pupils are really enjoying learning new skills!
P4 have been creating a text map of the water cycle as part of their explanation writing.
We have been working to make our playground areas fun places to be during break times. Our PSW staff have been leading games and activities with our children and we have seen such a positive impact. The pupils are engaged, helping each other, using their imaginations and becoming more independent in leading these activities themselves.

Primary 2 are really enjoying their outdoor learning again, now that the weather is getting better. They have been sharing books and stories, setting up the hammock independently and collecting rubbish from our site.
P5 have enjoyed working on our class allotment in the sun. We prepped the soil and planted some onions and spring onions. We can’t wait to see them start to sprout! Many of us are very excited for the Gardening Club to start up.
Primary 1 have had the opportunity to take advantage of the area which they have had a hand in designing. We asked the pupils what they would like to play with and have, where ever possible, tried to accommodate their ideas (the swimming pool, bouncy castle and flat screen tv were a little beyond us though!).
In P7 this week we designed a poster that will be used to promote our upcoming performances of Joseph and the Technicoloured Dream Coat. We considered what information was required, how we would ensure we had an eye-catching layout and included photographs that grabbed the reader’s attention. If you’re lucky enough to be attending, see how many of the posters you can spot around school!
