P3/2 has a fantastic time familiarising themselves with our gymnastics equipment! Some were a little hesitant but persevered & were soon jumping, climbing and rolling like the professionals! Well done everyone!

Primary 4 were excellent today at practising their badminton serves. We were working on our hand-eye coordination to make sure we were sending the shuttlecock to our partners. Our target for next week is to send the shuttlecock back and forward 5 times without it hitting the floor. We love a challenge!
Primary 7, along with their teacher, Mr Graham, organised and led an outstanding Burns Supper! They invited special guests from Toronto’s past and present and took everyone through a traditional Burns Supper. Liam and Ross were fantastic compares whilst Harris said grace in the form of the Selkirk Grace before the haggis was piped in by Liam and Charlie addressed it perfectly in the style of Burns himself! Entertainment included all of the senior School poetry winners and Cameron, Kieran and Nathan led us through a super PowerPoint which highlighted some facts about the great Robert Burns as Christopher and Ryan played soft Scottish music in the background! We had an entourage of waiters and waitresses who served up Scotch Broth and Haggis, Neeps n’ Tatties (thank you so much Sharon and Michelle, part of our amazing kitchen dream team) all washed down by good old Irn Bru! Well done to everyone else who played their part in the event; from invitations to place settings and hall decorations to front of house volunteers who welcomed guests and took their coats!! It was a fabulous afternoon! We are so proud of you all P7!
Children in our P1-3 department have been thoroughly enjoying taking part in a range of construction based challenges this week! These challenges have been collaborative, motivating and above all FUN! We have had to learn how to co-operate in mini teams, problem solve, persevere and express our own ideas using a wide range of practical materials! Here are a few snapshots of Primary 3/2 in action…with a couple of sneaky P7s who wanted in on the building site action! Oh and Ms Elder who was instructed by the Site Manager to wear her hard hat and high viz waistcoat before she could pass through 🙂
Last week some children from our new Netball team played in their very first Netball Festival. They showcased their new skills beautifully whilst displaying excellent team work and sportsmanship by celebrating everyone’s success! They were placed 4th overall – WELL DONE! Keep going team Toronto – we’re so proud of you!
The children are loving netball so much that they are practising in our new hall twice a week at lunchtimes with the help and support of Ms Muir and Mr Graham who are very proud of their dedication!

P5 have been learning about the Human Body. We have learned about the functions of the skeleton, the organs and the main systems in our body. Here we are working together to create a model of the Digestive system to show how food passes through the body. Great Fun !
Well done P5.
