P7 had a great time on their trip to Almond Valley Heritage Centre. We took part in their ‘Wild Maths’ learning activities! We tasted and grew our own micro-greens, learned about different animals and had lots of fun with our friends!
This morning Primary 3 took part in a very wet outdoor learning session with Kids Gone Wild. We had fun exploring the woods, climbing trees and we bravely had a go at slacklining. We had the best time being wet, messy and outdoors!
Primary 4/5 have been enjoying weekly lessons with NYCOS. We have been learning music through singing games and activities. We had so much fun in our final session using the parachute and are sad that our sessions have come to an end.
Today, Primary 6 had the opportunity to work with a group of West Lothian College HND students in fun fitness tests, relay races and games. The children had a brilliant time and are really looking forward to their next session.

P4, P4/5 and P5 let their hair down for their Christmas party this week. They enjoyed some Scottish dancing, party games, snacks and some Christmas music and dancing.
We all had a ball, and are totally in the Christmas spirit now!
Primary 4 and Primary 4/5 have been enjoying music sessions with Eamonn from Infectious Grooves. After weeks of learning new skills in drumming and rhythm, each class confidently shared their learning in a showcase performance for the rest of the school.
We are delighted that our clubs are up and running again at Toronto. This week saw our first club, Level 1 Bikeability, up and running.
Next week we have P4-7 Tennis on Monday, P4-7 Choir on Wednesday and P1-3 Football on Thursday. We are hoping to add more to our list soon!
Through our recent learning we have been finding out about the Romans.
We looked this week at Roman foods and were shocked at some of the items they would have on their feast menus – can you imagine eating peacock, tongue or dormice!
We created our own Roman Feast menus with a variety of foods we thought we might like to try.
Today we had our very own Roman feast with a variety of foods to try, some we were a bit apprehensive of but we all tried some new foods today and are very proud of ourselves!
On Thursday 10th October 2024, P4/5 recognised World Mental Health Day by taking their learning outdoors. Outdoor learning is thought to improve mood, reduce stress, encourage relaxation, improve physical activity and boost confidence and self esteem.
P4/5 took their literacy outdoors where they found interesting places to read their books and then use the natural materials to recreate some of the illustrations and photos from their reading books.
