Sports Day 2018
Sports Day 2018
West Lothian Outdoor Rangers!!
We had a fabulous time on Thursday 31st May. In the afternoon, we walked down to Howden Park where we met two West Lothian Outdoor Rangers called Luke and Lynn. We were there for some outdoor challenges and improve our co-operation skills! We were put into 2 teams and each had their own set of activities to complete. It was quite tricky but SUCH good fun! We had to work together or the challenge simply wouldn’t work. We were walking on ski’s, lifting a ball off a pole with just ropes and replacing it onto a different pole and the hardest challenge of the lot was trying to turn over a mat while we were all still standing on it!! It was amazing and we all had great fun! Thank you to Luke and Lynn because we loved it! Walk 1,2,3 together!
Fun Maths Today
We have been learning how to book activities online for summer holiday days out. We looked at websites for Jumpstation, Clip and Climb at Ratho Climbing Arena and Aquadash at the Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh.
We learned how to read calendars, convert 24 hour times to 12 hour times and work out payments too. As well as that we found lots of fun activities not far from us.
STEM Friday group.
We have been using our skills to build 3d models from cocktail sticks and sweeties. Our Models sure were impressive.
101 Dalmations Harry Potter Jurassic Kingdom
Mr Stink Sherlock Gnomes
We made movie trailers today using imovie. We analysed some film trailers and thought about the key features of a GREAT trailer. Then we created a storyboard. After this we decided on camera shots. Next we rehearsed our scenes and filmed our trailers. Finally the editing crew edited our work and added the all important credits. We are SOOOOOO PROUD of ourselves!!
We would all like to thank Olivia for leading this lesson.

Imaginative Play
Primary 2/1 enjoyed sneaking into the Nursery garden for some imaginative play this afternoon!
P2 money in the sun!
Today we decided to take our learning outdoors and enjoy some of the sun while we have it! We had great fun practicing drawing our coins and ordering their size using hop scotch. Mrs Robertson and Miss Butler also took us out in groups to test our money knowledge! They were well impressed.
