P5/4 judo classes in school!

P5/4 and the rest of the classes had the chance to learn a new skill- Judo!! It was so much fun! We were shown some self defense techniques, which were how to roll, sweep the feet from an opponent and how to fall correctly. We were given judo jackets to wear to protect us when we fell or rolled. We really enjoyed it a lot!! We were given a pass that we can use for an initial free class and if we enroll, we get a free outfit to keep.It was amazing and so much fun!

P2 homework

Just a little reminder that p2 have been asked to bring in a baby picture for tomorrow if possible. With our current focus on healthy living, we are hoping to have a taster session with some fruit and vegetables next week. If your child has any allergies or intolerance’s to any fruit of vegetables could you please let me know. Many Thanks.

Inveralmond Hockey Festival

Yesterday, 6th June, the children from the P5 classes walked along to Inveralmond HS to take part in a hockey festival. There were six local schools taking part to have the chance to experience a new sport. We had a great day! The children were placed in mixed groups to make new friends and were shown how to play hockey on a full sized pitch outside on the astroturf  courts. We were exhausted by the end but we all agree that it was a super day out. The children were given leaflets to have the chance to join as an evening club during the week. Come on kids, let’s try it!
