We have had a great morning this morning tasting new fruit. The pineapple and oranges were our favourites. We didn’t like the kiwi and raspberries as much. Look at some of our faces as we tried them, Miss Butler pulled a few funny faces too.

Just a little reminder that p2 have been asked to bring in a baby picture for tomorrow if possible. With our current focus on healthy living, we are hoping to have a taster session with some fruit and vegetables next week. If your child has any allergies or intolerance’s to any fruit of vegetables could you please let me know. Many Thanks.

GoodBye and good Luck
We wish our class mate a great experience in her new school. Toronto primary will miss you lots!
STEM Friday group.
We have been using our skills to build 3d models from cocktail sticks and sweeties. Our Models sure were impressive.
P2 money in the sun!
Today we decided to take our learning outdoors and enjoy some of the sun while we have it! We had great fun practicing drawing our coins and ordering their size using hop scotch. Mrs Robertson and Miss Butler also took us out in groups to test our money knowledge! They were well impressed.
P2 Homework Challenge
For our writing next week please create a vegetable superhero to bring to school next Tuesday. Thank you for all those who have brought in hero’s so far. These will be kept in a fridge until next week to keep them fresh.
STEM afterschool Club
We had a great first session today creating towers using marshmallows and spaghetti. I can’t wait to see what creations / challenges the children master in the coming 5 weeks!
P2 topic – hygiene
today we discussed how we keep ourselves clean and healthy. The children shared many brilliant examples such as having a bath / shower, brushing teeth etc. We then discussed and practiced good hand washing in class.
P2 – beat our heart
Today we learned how much blood our heart pumps around our body in 1 minute. Miss Butler set us the challenge of beating our heart, first we ran about to get our heart pumping. Next she gave us a huge bowl of water, an empty bowl and a tiny cup. Like our heart does with our blood we had to move the water from one basin to another… we didn’t quite manage to beat our hearts but we had great fun (and a lot of spillages) trying!
