Daily Mile – Sport Relief

This week is Sport Relief week so P4 and P4/3 have decided to mark it by challenging themselves each day to run/walk/skip/hop/jump a MILE. We also understand the importance of this daily exercise to keep ourselves fit and healthy!

I wonder who will beat their record tomorrow… Watch this space!

Release the Rhythm!

The drumming team from Infectious Grooves treated our P3-7 pupils to a brand new drumming show this morning called Release the Rhythm! We went on a journey from Africa to South America exploring rhythm and the message of Diversity, Unity and Synergy. @rhythmresource Thanks guys!

Toronto’s Book Swap

Today we managed to celebrate World Book Day by having our big book swap. Thank you to everyone for donating all of their used books – Everyone managed to select a book that they can now enjoy. What a fantastic way of recycling the books that we no longer read!

Thank you to the wonderful Primary 4 and Mrs Simpson for all of the organisation that went into the book swap – It looked like everybody had a great time.

Happy reading ☺️📚

Read four books for two SPFL tickets, it couldn’t be simpler!

Scottish Book Trust and the Scottish Professional Football League Trust have joined up with 14 SPFL clubs and over 200 local libraries, to encourage primary school-age children to read in exchange for match tickets.

All you have to do is go to your local library and borrow 4 books of your choice. Once you have read the 4 books, return them to the library and get your challenge card stamped. Once you have 4 stamps on your challenge card you can exchange it for a free ticket for Livingston FC match, along with a discounted adult ticket.

If you would like your child to take part in the 4-4-2 reading challenge please return the form they received this week. If you cannot find the letter please contact the school office. Challenge cards will be distributed by the end of the week.

Keep the models coming, we would love EVERYONE to see them all on Parents Night on Thursday! Thanks for all you efforts so far, not sure my own efforts would have been that good! See you all Thursday.
