P7 have been enjoying First Nations drumming sessions with Danny & George from Infectious Grooves. We’ve been developing our ability to play rhythms and poly-rhythms over the past 5 weeks.

P4/3 Winter Artwork
Primary 4/3 have been really busy this morning creating some wonderful winter artwork for our corridor display. I am very proud of the children for their effort.
Using Technology in P5
P5 have been learning how to book cinema tickets for Paddington. They used their knowledge of 24 hour times and coordinates to do this.
They have also been using Google Translate to translate a short text about themselves into French. Well done P5 !!

Road Safety Week
Is your child due to start school in August 2018?
The time has come already can you believe? Please follow this link for P1 Pupil Placement application forms. Remember that all applications are to be completed online this year, unless you request a paper copy. Applications must be submitted by 31st December, even if your child is eligible for a deferral (Jan/Feb Birthday). Deferrals will be looked at after Christmas.

Toronto Netball Team
Last week some children from our new Netball team played in their very first Netball Festival. They showcased their new skills beautifully whilst displaying excellent team work and sportsmanship by celebrating everyone’s success! They were placed 4th overall – WELL DONE! Keep going team Toronto – we’re so proud of you!
The children are loving netball so much that they are practising in our new hall twice a week at lunchtimes with the help and support of Ms Muir and Mr Graham who are very proud of their dedication!
Toronto School Choir were invited to sing at St Mary’s Choir Festival today
Our amazing choir were invited to attend St Mary’s Choir Festival today. They sang alongside choirs from around the West Lothian area and we were extremely proud of them! Well done everyone and a big thank you to Mrs Steel, Mrs McKillop and parent helper, Mrs Laird who attended. Another thank you to Mr Platt for all of his hard work and dedication with our amazing choir.
Science in P5
P5 have been learning about the Human Body. We have learned about the functions of the skeleton, the organs and the main systems in our body. Here we are working together to create a model of the Digestive system to show how food passes through the body. Great Fun !

Primary 4 learning about the importance of Road Safety
Primary 4 loved creating wonderful posters to raise awareness of the effects of Road Safety. During their walk last week they took photos of the school and used them in their work! We think they are amazing! Well done Primary 4!
