Numeracy : this week we have been learning about units, tens all the way up to millions. We were ordering and sequencing them. We are going to continue with this next week. In maths we are learning about 3D shapes and their properties. There was lots of maths vocabulary we had to learn and next week we are going to cut up the shapes to investigates their nets.
Literacy: We are still completing our signs for our class library.
We got our reading books out and the stories look good.
We started homework this for spelling, our learning grids and reading.
For writing, we completed stories about “The Waking Giant”
IDL: We started a river fact file with Mrs McVay and will continue to work on it next week
In science we have been disussing global warming and different types of energy. We are going to make paper helicopters next week and discuss the potential and kinetic energy changes.
