Our week started off with a visit from the S.S.P.C.A. We enjoyed playing board games finding animal homes and then we built owls and made them move. We had great fun.
In Numeracy, we have started our new jotters and have been revising numbers between 100 and 1000 and beyond. Looking at numbers before and after in 10’s, 50’s and 100’s. Our presentation in our jotters was very impressive.
In Literacy, we created an “Alphabet of Stuff”. This was related to our class novel”Fing” and we used our imagination to make up a list of things that our character Myrtle might want or thinks she might want!! Some great and funny ideas. We have also been looking at alliteration and how effective it can be, if used in our writing. We thought of some super sentences and some sensational short stories!!
We have drawn designs of our buildings and then we stuck them onto boxes to make 3D buildings. Great detail and they have made an interesting display outside our classroom.
In PE we have begun to learn the skills required to play badminton and really enjoyed it.
In RME with Mrs.Beganie, we have begun to learn about the religion of Judaism. So a very busy first full week. Thank you to those who came to “Meet the Teacher.” It was nice to see both old and new faces. Hope you’re all enjoying the weekend. Photos to follow.
Love from 4B and Mrs.Burton
