We have had an exciting week this week with the Halloween Disco and our special Halloween day. In Phonics we have been learning the ‘b’ and ‘u’ sounds and in Numeracy we have worked on addition. We learnt all about the symbols we use in sums eg. + and =.
On Tuesday afternoon we were very excited as we got to dress up in our fabulous costumes and went to the hall with the rest of the infant department for our party. We danced, played games and enjoyed our snacks too. A huge thank you to the PTA for organising this for us.
On Wednesday we had a Halloween day and all of our activities had a spooky theme. We had green slime to write in, we made potions, we wrote spells and we read spooky stories. In PE we were moving around the hall like zombies, witches and monsters. We were working with a partner on our ball skills and practised rolling the ball accurately.
Reminders:
- The Primary 3 classes are organising the shoebox appeal this year so if anyone has any small donations to put in the boxes or a finished box to help them please send them in next week.
- Next week is a revision week for phonics so please practise the sounds we have learnt. No new sounds will be sent home. We will also be learning about vowels.
