Primary 3/4 Blog Week Beginning 22.1.18

Dear All

This week in literacy we did a spelling test on the soft g and the hard g sound. We also did the mp, nd and ng sounds. We learned about common nouns and proper nouns.

In French we made a mind map of ourselves, the people who are important to us, our pets and our hobbies, then we wrote the French words.

In numeracy we did grid references using battleships, zoos, maps and a giant floor map of Scotland. We also learned double and near doubles playing a dinosaur game. We practised our times tables and got up to our 7 times table in 5 minutes.

In health and wellbeing we played Gaelic football in the wing. We had lots of visitors in to see our learning and they said we were very focused and amazing!

In learning across the curriculum we researched different tartans and made up our own tartans. We practised for our assembly next week. We started thinking about what we would like to know about the Vikings as we are starting our new topic next week.
