We have had an exciting week as we had the ‘ Travelling by Tuba’ musical duo. They conducted an interactive musical performance with the children on Wednesday. Then, NYCOS came on Thursday afternoon to give us some music lessons.
For Literacy, we have been learning to use commas, exclamation and question marks. We have also been changing questions into statements.
For Numeracy, we have been learning to subtract 2 digits from 2 digit numbers. We learnt how to check our subtraction answers through addition. We played games and did a lot of individual work. We revisited our number bonds as well as place value.
For Health and Well- being, our focus this term is- seeking support if/ when bullied. We spoke about who our friends are at school and how individual gain support from others.
IDL this term is concentrated on Scottish music. We have been listening to the ‘Flower of Scotland’ song and what it meant. We have also started our research on Vikings as this also another exciting focus this term.
