P4 Class week beginning 4th December 2017

In preparation for the christmas fayre, the P4 class further explored addition and subtraction using money.  The children also learnt about distribution of workload while making their christmas craft.  They were split  into five groups and all had designated jobs to do.  Some worked on  advertising (posters), a few were in charge of pricing.  The rest of the pupils were involved in the creation and quality control of the products.

For numeracy, the children were learning about 4 digit place value.  They used concrete materials to understand the concept even more.

For Literacy, the P4s focused on learning to spell words with ‘ou’ sounds.  They aslo revisited how to change a question into a sentence.

For Comprehension,   they had to look for context clues.

For Grammar, the focus was on writing words in plural form.

Lastly, for Health and Well- being, the focus was on appropriate response to different types of  emotions.

I am very proud of the P4s for all their hard work .  The reindeers were tricky to make but they  were determined to push thtough the challenge.” – Miss Durano

Thank you to all who participated in the christmas fayre!
