Primary 5 have been learning all about our solar system. They have been demonstrating how the moon and earth rotate about the sun and showing the phases of the moon with Oreos. It was a very popular lesson this week.
P6 are currently finding out about renewable and non renewable energy. There has been lots of great discussions going on. It has been very topical with fracking in the news. We hope to get our water turbine, solar panels and wind turbine working to power bulbs, motors, etc.
P7 are looking a the huge topic of classification. They have investigated the the 5 kingdoms. P7A have been classifying flowering and non flowering plants within our school ground and P7B having been researching different species of the animal kingdom. They are now about to classify vertebrates and invertebrates.
