We are learning to describe how weather affects humans.
I can experiment in making miniature weather.
I can explain what make the weather.
Primary 4 had an amazing time last week at Dynamic Earth for our class trip. We had a tour which began back in time and then went through lots of different climates, linking to our topic this term.
After lunch we got to participate in a Wonderful Weather workshop and create miniature hurricanes and lightening!
We then got to view a 360 degree film about space and how the Earth was formed. This film also showed us lots of the different jobs that people can have to do with space and science. Our children were able to link this back to our Developing the Young Workforce Week at school which was brilliant!
Our day was so much fun and we learned a lot from it but it definitely tired us out on the bus on the way home!
P1 Assembly will take place on Friday 1st of June at 9:15am. The P1 children can’t wait to share their learning with you and their invitations will come home tomorrow!
P1 had a fantastic suprise when they arrived at school this morning. A mummy hen has left us 10 little eggs to look after. Two of the eggs had already hatched before we got in and there was another arrival after school today! They are desperate to say hello but Hopefully we get to see some pipping and hatching tomorrow. We have a boy and two girls so far. P1 had lots of super questions about the chicks.
More from ‘Chick Cam’ tomorrow …
To start this term most of our classes with have a STEM focus for their Interdisciplinary learning

We are Learning about the different parts of a plant and what they need
Primary 1 have been busy this week learning about the different parts of a plant and what they need to grow. We planted our own beans and are looking forward to watching them grow.
We know what a plant needs to grow:
Eva: They need sun to grow
Kenzie: They need water
Maisie: They need to be in soil
Harrison: When the flowers get bigger we need to move them into a bigger pot.
