Talk Money Week Home Challenge

Talk Money Week is an opportunity for everyone to get involved with events and activities across the UK which help people have more open conversations about their money – from pocket money to pensions – and continue these conversations year-round.

The ‘Magic Mathematicians’ Pupil Voice Group would like to invite you to take part in our Talk Money Challenge.  We would like you to think about how we keep money safe.

We would like you to design and create one of the following:

  • money container
  • wallet
  • purse

You can use recycled junk or fabric.

Please bring in your finished design by Friday 10th November.

The Magic Mathematicians will choose their favourite designs from the following age categories:

  • P1-P2
  • P3-P4
  • P5-P7

Primary 3/2

On Thursday, it was World Daily Mile day!

Primary 3/2 got their running/walking/skipping shoes on and completed 11 laps of the playground! #effectivecontributors

Primary 3/2

For the past few weeks, Primary 3/2 have been getting green-fingered! We have been planting seeds in class with Sarah-Jane, including chillis, cucumbers and tomatoes! We also tidied up the empty vegetable beds and planted some broccoli in them. We have to make sure that we look after them and can’t wait to see what’s ready come summertime! #responsiblecitizens

Primary 3/2

Many thanks to the family members/carers who came to our assembly on Friday – it was lovely to see you there!

Please use the link below to see the story that P3/2 created and performed for their class assembly – ‘The Lightning Bolt’. #effectivecontributors

Author Masterclass – Dr Seuss

On Thursday, World Book Day (and Dr Seuss’ birthday), Miss McLaughlin ran a ‘Cat in the Hat’-themed masterclass.

We listened to the story of ‘The Cat in the Hat’ and discussed rhythm/rhyme.

We created our own ‘Cat in the Hat’ artwork and gave the Cat new looks! Miss McLaughlin then gave us a design challenge where we had to plan and create a new hat for the Cat. We used lots of different crafting materials for our creations. #effectivecontributors
