Rookie Rockstars – day 2!
The children are having lots of fun with the Rookie Rockstars. Today they learned another two songs, as part of the preparation for their concert next week and to record on their CD later this week. Today’s songs were “Bullies ain’t big” and “Hey, hey, I’m ok”. All classes have been busy designing a CD cover for the PUSCPS CD and the winner will be announced at the concert next week. In the meantime, here are a few photos from the fun today. Mrs Campbell and Miss Mulhearn took on the Rapbattle challenge against Katy and Sam, and they won! Well done to them all for taking part!

Emotion Works in Primary 4
We are learning to: use emotional language.
I can: identify the emotions, behaviours and triggers of a character.
Primary 4 were tasked with identifying the emotions, behaviours and triggers of a character in groups of 3. We watched a short video entitled “A Shadow of Blue”, pausing it at 3 different points for discussion.
The character in the vieo clip experienced a range of emotions and we were able to identify and name lots of them. Finding behaviours was trickier, as the clip was mostly featuring the character’s shadow, but we worked hard in our groups to find lots!
We came back together as a class at the end and shared some of our answers for each section. We were able to justify our thoughts about the character’s emotions through discussing their behaviours and the triggers which made them feel this way.
We produced some brilliant work and had a great discussing which was very interesting.
Veda comes to P1!
P1 were very excited when Veda and her owner Bill came to visit today.
Veda is an ex-guide dog who now works as a therapet. She visits schools, hospitals and people’s homes to make them feel happy and more confident.
Veda loves to listen to stories. She will be visiting every Thursday this term to read with children in P1.  I bet she’s impressed when she hears our super reading!
