Primary 3 – Friday 12/06/2020

Good morning Primary 3,

As we approach the final two weeks of Primary 3, this also means the end of our flight topic. Your task for today P3, is to complete the evaluation form attached to give your feedback on our topic as it draws to a close.

I hope you have enjoyed this topic and although we were not able to do tasks as originally planned, that you have learned lots of new things about flight.

Many thanks and have a great weekend.

Primary 3 – Preparation for next week.

Good morning Primary 3,

Fitness fortnight starts next week. Monday the 15th would have been our school’s sports day, but fear not! We are still going ahead with it, at home!

I am sending this out today so that you can get equipment (and yourself) prepared for Monday. Here is the form to complete:

At-Home-Sports-Day-Pack

As you can see from the form, Primary 3 are marked down to complete six activities of your choosing from the list. You are welcome to do as many extra activities on the form, on top of this to earn extra points for your house if you would like to.

Please send photo’s to me at my email address or tag photo’s @LVPSsportandPE and @MrsLoveP3 on Twitter (Remember you must not name your child if they are in the photo – Use He/She/Them etc. on social media). It would be great to see flat Mrs Love in on the sports action too!

Best of luck for Monday, keep an eye on the blog for extra activities to complete during fitness fortnight.

Take care and have a lovely weekend.

Primary 3 – Thursday 11th June 2020

Bonjour ma classe!

I hope you are all well and enjoying your home learning this week.

Today I would like us to do some more positional work in our Maths using compass directions – North, East, South and West. We have worked on this a little in school when covering map activities, so we will have a refresher of this today and see what you remember.

First of all here is a fantastic information mat all about position and direction that you can use to keep you right:

t-n-2546806-year-2-position-and-direction-maths-knowledge-organiser_ver_3

Remember Mrs Love’s rule that I was taught when I was your age at school to remember the order of compass positions: Never Eat Shredded Wheat (N, E, S, WNorth, East, South, West). You might want to make up your own chant  using words that start with N, E, S, W in this order?

Here is the task I would like you to do today:

Primary 3 Home Learning Wednesday 10.6.20

Good morning Primary 3. I hope you are all having a good week. It was lovely to see your home learning photos that Mrs love shared on the school blog. Keep up the wonderful work!

Here are your home learning activities for today and the resources you will need to complete them.

Maths – Today we are learning how to measure capacity in litres and millilitres. Have a look at the power point that I have attached. This will  help you complete the activity sheets. Remember we use litres to measure larger capacities and millilitres to measure smaller capacities. We know there are 1000 millilitres in 1litre. Can you work out how many millilitres there would be in half a litre?

Literacy – Please complete the quotation marks activity sheet. Quotation marks are another name for speech marks.

RME –  Things that make me happy drawing activity.

French – French food game and activity sheet. You will need a dice to play the game.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

Primary 3 Home learning photos

Hello Primary 3,

I have put together a collage of the photo’s that I have been sent over the past few weeks of all your wonderful home learning and flat Mrs Love photos. You have done an incredible job and I am so proud of you. I love seeing all your photos and it puts a smile on my face to see you again and flat Mrs Love beside you on your home learning journey. I thought you might like to see your classmates again too.

Enjoy!

P3 Maths 09/06/2020

Good morning Primary 3,

I hope you had a good day yesterday.

I have included two different lots of worksheets on symmetry for you to do today.

The first one is where you will draw the mirror image from a line of symmetry.

The second worksheet has the lines of symmetry already and you can create your own shapes or drawings from them. Remember that they must be symmetrical though, a mirror image! So think of simple shapes which can be easily mirrored (circles, squares, rectangles, triangles etc.). I found a great video explaining symmetry to help you which I have included below.
