L.I. to read words and sentences

S.C. I can create a new front cover which includes key information

I hope your enjoyed reading Everyone Got Wet and completed the tasks. Today I would like you to to complete an activity from your guided reading pack. I would like you design a new front cover for the book. You can keep the title but think about another picture that would give you a clue as to what the story is about. Remember to include the author and illustrators names on the front cover. Enjoy!

Activity 3 – Numeracy

L.I. to add and subtract numbers

S.C. I can make a number in different ways

S.C. I can explain my thinking

Below is a numeracy challenge that can be easily adapted. (you can change the 8 to any number) Remember to use subtraction e.g. 16 – 8 = 8 etc.

Activity 4 – Art and Design

L.I. to use a range of media creatively

S.C. I can use parts of my body and paint/pens to create an effect

Why not have a go at making your own spring blossom tree. You could draw around your arm and fingers. This could make the tree trunk and branches. Then use pink paint or pink colouring pens for the blossoms. Enjoy and send any picture to the school (via email) . I would love to see them.
