Summer Social Story

To support our pupils over the summer holiday, here is a social story for the summer holidays.

 

If you require a visual calendar to support over the weeks, one has been created for July/August:

Calderwood Calendar: 

  • Wednesday 9th August – 1:30pm: Clans in the cabins, can pop in and visit their new clan space with Miss Burton and Mrs Bates. One adult per family and no younger siblings please if possible (to ensure we can fit everyone in. Please meet in the playground at 1:25pm. These clans include Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, Stirling, Dundee and Aberdeen.
  • 15/08/23: First Day of 2023/24 session

Calderwood Compliments:

  • Thankfully the rain stayed away for C in the Park and we had a fantastic time celebrating together. Thanks to everyone who attend or supported the event. We raised an amazing £2212.94! You can find some photos on Twitter and more information here.
  • It has been a fantastic week celebrating all things Ben Lomond, our first ever Primary 7 at Calderwood. Their Calderwood Connects was a tribute to the huge part they have played in our Calderwood story and the legacy they have left behind. Thank you so much to the champions who made this all possible, and to you, their families for all the support you have given us during their time at Calderwood. We can’t wait to see all what they all achieve on the next part of their journey.
  • Thank you to our champions, who always go above and beyond for our children and families. I am always so proud of our team, and how they care for our children, whilst providing inspirational learning opportunities.

 

  • I can’t quite believe it’s time to close our Calderwood Chapter 2! It has been another year of achievements, making memories and growing together. Thank you for all the support you have given us this year, it is greatly appreciated by myself and our staff team. I hope you all have a fantastic summer. Miss Burton

 

Saving Your Teams OneNote Jotter

When saving your one note from teams…first go to file and this option should show:

 

Choose edit in Desktop App and it should open the program. Once open, choose file again:

Choose:

  1. Export
  2. Notebook
  3. PDF

This will allow you to download the one note notebook in full as a PDF file and save for your records.

Saving Seesaw Profiles 2022-23

As Primary 3s move into Primary 4 they will no longer to use Seesaw but will move to Teams, it will take them a few weeks of training on how to use Teams before they start to use it as a journal.

For families who where at Calderwood Primary in 2022-23 we will archive those clans on Friday 30th June. This means you have 30 days to download their journal from their previous clan. You need access to a netbook, laptop or computer to do this and can do this as explained below:

  • Tap profile in top left
  • Account settings
  • Scroll down to the bottom and click download archived journal
Or:
  • You should be able to highlight all the files
  • Right clicking and choosing print then choosing Print to PDF from the dialogue box

Sika House Party- Thursday 29th June

Sika House were the proud house winners of Term 4. Well done!

To celebrate Sika’s achievement, we will be having a summer festival party on Thursday at 11:00am in the playground. All pupils in Sika house can come to school wearing summer clothes and accessories on Thursday.
