• 08/12/23: Calderwood Connects: Advent theme from the outreach team from Kirknewton and East Calder Parish Church. This will involve a story about advent and some songs. Please email the office to let us know if this is something you would prefer your child not to attend. For clans only.

A gentle reminder, during the school day teachers are teaching and the leadership team are out and about around the school, taking groups, meetings, etc and may not always be able to immediately respond to phone calls/ emails/ drops ins.

Two Week Look Ahead

• Roof install to commence – crane onsite 29/11/23
• Trim trail work ongoing
• Blockwork underbuild to continue
• Pitch fencing to start ASAP, material delivery WC 27/11/23
• Upper first floor slab prep and pour- Pour date tbc looking like 05/12/23, however will depend on weather.

Calderwood Compliments:

• Thank you to everyone who could join us for Calderwood Chats this week. A big thanks to our P6 and P7 clans for running the event for us.
• The children have enjoyed playing with the new construction toys in the playground this week. Thank you to the Parent Council for fundraising for these.
• Thank you to the helpers who made our P3 excursions possible this week, we appreciate your support.
• Morrisons Construction joined us for our Connects last week to tell us about building site safety.
• Thank you to Stirling Developments for donating our Christmas Tree.

• 28/11/23: 9.00-10.15am: Calderwood Can Chats: Come along to our Arena and Café and a look through your child’s jotters and profiles with them, one adult please. This is an optional drop in event. Parents/ carers will be able to view their child’s jotters next term at Champion Conversations. Primary 7 Children please wear their shirts and ties as they are supporting the event.

• We have recently welcomed Mr Allan to Calderwood as the non contact teacher. He will be teaching a half day in the following clans;

• Thank you to Jo Ferguson, our new Parent Council Chair, for chairing our Parent Council meeting this week. Thanks to the Parent Council team for their prep before the meeting, and thanks to everyone who attended, it was great to have just a large turn out!
• Aberdeen had a fantastic Connects today, all about their rainforest learning! Thank you to everyone who came along to watch them perform.
