Array Cities in Ness Clan
L.I. I am learning to create arrays and use them to find multiplication facts.
Ness Clan have been getting crafty this week, creating their own Array Cities! They enjoyed using different colours and shapes to create their buildings. They had to create equal rows of windows on each building, experimenting with different shapes and sizes. They counted the rows and columns to find multiplication facts. Some of Ness clan challenged themselves to find matching division facts to create fact families. They discussed their cities with one another.
Next steps: Building up their knowledge of different multiplication facts and beginning to use quick recall to mentally make these calculations.

Ness Clan’s Bird Boxes

Autism Awareness in P3 and P4
L.I. I am learning about autism and that we all have differences and similarities.
Ness, Rannoch and Tay clans have been finding out all about autism for World Autism Acceptance Week. We shared our prior knowledge about autism and then read some stories to find out more. We recognised that autism is one of many things that make someone unique and we celebrated this by making venn diagrams to show our similarities and differences. Some of the pupils were keen to share their knowledge with others so we made a video showing our understanding and ideas about autism and why awareness is important.

Our Ben Lawers and Lomond Clans started British Science Week by organising and teaching a Science Friday Takeover with all our clans.
They nominated children from each clan for a certificate for their contribution and participation in the science tasks!
Congratulations everyone and thank you to our Ben Clans for organising such a successful event.
