Calderwood Commitments
- 10/06/24 – 25/06/24: Milk order open for current P1-6 children on iPay for Term 1 – milk will not be available to order after this date.

- 07/06/24: PM: East Calder Gala Performance: Glee: East Calder Park (Next to the Health Centre, Main Street), 5:30 arrival for 6pm start, we are on first. Children should wear their Stag Squad Tshirt and navy bottoms. – CANCELLED
- 08/06/24: Gala Day Walk
- 12/06/24: Meet the clan: Opportunity for the children to meet the children in their new clan. You can find a social story here. Children will come home with a sticker of their child’s clan and champion name, The clan structure will also be shared on this day.
- 13/06/24: End of year Reports Issued
- 14/06/24: Ms Cook’s Last Day
- 14/06/24: Dress Down Day: Festival Theme for C in the Park: No donation required.
- 14/06/24: C in the Park: Pre-purchased tickets only.

Calderwood Communication:
- Change to the school day times in August 2024, for session 2024/25:
- Primary 1 – 2: 8:40am – 3:10pm
- Primary 3-7: 8:45am – 3:15pm
The change is to ensure safety (physically and emotionally) particularly at pick up time at the end of the school day. There will be no change to times for Breakfast Club or safe arrivals

- Parent Council Meeting Minutes – 28th May 2024
- Our Pupil Council and champions were very excited to have a tour of extension on Friday, you can find out more here.
- Reminders: Can you please ensure your child brings a water bottle to school, due to the setup of our water fountains, if a child doesn’t bring a water bottle we have to issue them with a paper/ plastic cup. Also, a gentle reminder that your child should bring a snack with them to eat at break time.
- Board Games/ card games: If you have any good condition board games or card games you no longer require, could you please hand them into the office for Breakfast Club.
- Update:
- We are delighted to share the exciting news that Mrs Wolfeis expecting a baby during the summer holidays. She will finish the term with us and then will take a break from Calderwood in the school year 2024/25. I know you will wish her lots of health and happiness as her family grows.
- At the end of June, we say good bye to our amazing Miss Greig, as she travels abroad to pastures new! Miss Greig, as one of our original Calderwood Champions, has been instrumental in shaping and creating Primary 1 at Calderwood, leaving a legacy behind for future clans and champions. She has also lead and implemented many initiatives within our Health and Wellbeing curriculum. Miss Greig has a caring, creative approach, always going above and beyond for the children and families in her clan. She is loved across our children, families and champions, and will be greatly missed at Calderwood! I personally would like to thank Miss Greig for her dedicated to our Calderwood family, and wish her all the luck and happiness for her adventure. Her last day at Calderwood will be 26th

Calderwood Compliments:
- Thank you to our Primary 6 and 7 Clans who supported our Calderwood Chats event this week, it was great to see such a fantastic turnout.
- A big ‘Thank You’ to the Parent Council who helped us to buy new reading books.
- Thank you to Mr Allan, and the Primary 6 and 7 footballers who showed up despite the weather, to take part in the Mid Calder Gala, Jak Trueman, Football Tournament.

On Friday our Pupil Council had the opportunity to visit our extension and see the amazing progress. They took their clan iPad along to take photos to share with their clan. Thank you to Rebecca from Morrisons for answering all our questions.

This morning our children invited their families into Calderwood, to share their learning profiles. There was a busy buzz of dialogue across our learning spaces. Thank you to our Primary 6 and 7 clans for helping us to run the event.
