  • Pupil absence: A reminder to families that it is their responsibility to please ensure they contact the school office by email (preferably) or phone by 9am to make us aware of their child’s absence. Unfortunately, we can have up to 30 unexplained absences in the morning which can put a large amount of workload unto our office champs. Failure to report an absence may result in an escalation to the safe arrivals team or a house visit.

Children should wear school uniform as usual and the Parent Council will kindly supply each child with a mini saltire flag to help them celebrate. If you feel this is something your child would not wish to take part in, please let the school office know.
  • Staffing Update: We are currently recruiting for a third permanent Principal Teacher for first level. This was previously Mrs Bates’ post that has not been filled on a permanent basis. Mrs Wolfe, a clan teacher who was having a career break abroad this session has decided to stay abroad on a permanent basis. We wish Mrs Wolfe lots of luck on her new adventures and a huge thanks for all she has done to help Calderwood.
  • Primary 5 Clans Showcase: You can find out more information here.
