Money Week in Primary 5

During money week we have been learning about what happens in a bank and the different things that you can do there. Two ladies came in to speak to us about how to save money. We have also been designing our own banknotes with security features that are hard to copy.

Nursery Yoga (AM)

The Nursery boys and girls had a great time this morning taking part in a Yoga session about Minecraft. Yoga is a great way to exercise our bodies and minds. You can try some out at www.cosmickids.com or have a look at some of our fabulous work here:

P4 Finance Wizards!

Today we had a visit from Caroleann and Sabina from Lloyds Bank to help us to think about finance and budgeting. We worked in groups to put together a budget using bank statements to give us information about salary and bills. It was hard to calculate how much money they could save but we used brainpower and calculators to help!

P2 News

On Thursday P2 really enjoyed the bake off challenge.  We all decorated cupcakes, the children said they tasted really ‘delicious’. We learned about words that begin with qu this week. We also learned about our Emotions and the emotion was Fear.

We are still working with ideas around  the Rainbow Fish. We collected some apples for our interest table.

All the children enjoyed meeting Sean Batty and our cakes were much appreciated and Adam’s cake was judged as best in class and he was awarded a certificate and a baking prize. All bakers were awarded certificates for their efforts which were wonderful.

We are trying to be kind to all our class and others in the school, hopefully we will be able to do this.
