On Fridays we choose maths tasks to practise our new skills or develop areas we want to improve or challenge ourselves in. This week we had a wide range of activities on the go including playing draughts (to develop strategy and prediction in problem solving), making a shop (to practise using money), stile boards (to practise a range of different skills in shape, number and calculations), numbers up (to practise place value using hundreds, tens and units), coins (to practise counting money and identifying place value) and a vein diagram (to develop our data handling skills). It was a very fun morning!!
