When I think of Scotland…. by P3/2

What a wonderful place Scotland is!

It is full of history, poets, inventors, authors, talented sports people, amazing structures, castles, lochs, mountains, hills and glens,  … we could fill a page with what we’ve found out about this week as we researched information to present in our  eye-catching posters. We’ve been trying out different ways of creating tartan patterns and will be painting our kilt designs next week.

We’re looking forward to hosting our I-SOLVE event in a few weeks time and have already worked with our Talking Partners to plan what we might do. We came up with lots of questions we needed to find answers to, to make sure the event is successful and fun for everyone!

Some of us have started to learn how to create powerpoint presentations and will be “Powerpoint Pals” helping our classmates to do the same. Our aim is to use these in our upcoming Class Talks and also in our class assembly.

Today we have worked together to compose our first class poem about Scotland, using ideas from our homework research. We’re going to edit and illustrate our poem for display and will share it on the blog when it’s finished!
