Bellsquarry Football Match

On Monday, we played Parkhead Primary School.  After tasting defeat in the first game, it was very important to make sure that we bounced back in the correct fashion.

The game kicked off at 4:00pm in near perfect conditions; sunny, little wind but cold.

Early goals saw us lead 2-0 at half time and seemingly in control of the game.  However, a quick goal from Parkhead allowed them a way back into the game and they began to dominate possession.  Our defence held firm and two quick breakaway goals from Ethan Robinson and Jan Nowicki allowed us to establish a more commanding lead.

Back came Parkhead again and they got another goal, a rasping bullet of a shot which flew over Zach and Fraser on the line, before a Charley Stirling 2o yard thunderbolt allowed us to restore our three goal cushion.  This goal knocked the sails out of Parkhead and further goals, including a Dylan Dagnall solo effort, allowed us to come out comfortable winners, winning 8-2 in the end.

Overall, it was a good, solid performance.  Everyone did their job and worked as part of a team. Roll on our next game!
