Our kilt creations in Art and Technology

Our kilt creations in Art and Technology

Primary One has completed their Scottish topic. We have enjoyed learning new things about our country. We did some Scottish dancing including the Canadian Barn Dance and the Dashing White Sergeant. We have some fabby dancers!

We also spent a couple of weeks creating kilts complete with sporrans! Some of the skills we used were weaving, using an accordion fold and cutting. We also enjoyed using a variety of materials.

We had a great time learning about different Scottish symbols that are recognised around the world! These included: the Loch Ness monster, Irn Bru, the thistle, the Saltire, the Kelpies, bagpipes and the kilt, just to name a few.

Now we are moving on to our exciting topic all about toys!

See you next time.
