Quality Learning in Primary One

In maths, we were sequencing numbers as quickly as we could. We also used good listening skills in our problem solving when we had to follow the clues! We had lots of fun with the rekenreks doing number bonds to 10.

In science, we are learning about our senses. This week we looked at our sense of sight. We learned that light bounces off an object and goes into our eye. Then our brain then tells us what we are seeing.

In literacy, we looked at upper and lower case letters and how we use those in writing. We know that we use a capital for a name of a person, place or thing. We also use a capital letter to start every sentence.

To finish off the week, we enjoyed a great assembly about ‘perseverance’ and never giving up!!

As you can tell, Primary One has returned to do some serious learning in 2015 and it’s great!
